Seasons come and go, but don't avoid sprucing up your home with temporary decor because you can't bear the thought of buying and storing any more stuff! Bringing seasonal flair to your home is easier than you think!

1. Throw pillows are a fun and easy way to change the look of any sofa, chair, or bed. Instead of separate pillows for every season, purchase pillow covers two inches smaller than your pillow insert to avoid that baggy, worn look. Nice, full pillows will give your room a fresh and updated feel. I love covers because they are cheaper, usually washable, and are much easier to store than bags of extra pillows. 2. Another practical and colorful way to play up the season is with cozy throws. Unlike pillows, typically there would only be one throw displayed per room, so storage is minimal. Throws can add instant color and texture, and are always useful whether draped over a sofa or placed at the foot of a bed. Their larger size makes it easy to reflect the season or holiday without adding too many additional accessories that can sometimes create a busy look. Click photo for link.

3. Hanging boxwood wreaths with ribbon is a fabulous way to add a bit of freshness to a door, window, wall, or large mirror. Just change out the ribbon to instantly create an elegant seasonal update. And the best part is that boxwoods are perfect all year long! Click photo for link.

4. Need a touch of glam for your dining room or fireplace mantel? How about a seasonal vignette? Fill two to three glass vases, jars, hurricanes, or wine glasses you may already own (varying heights is ideal) with ornaments, pinecones, lights, candles, or candy. This is very simple way to add sparkle and sophistication to any room. Click photo for link.
